She is almost 5 years old, plenty old enough to know this is all a joke. The point of it all is to see how they react, in this case my silly daughter throws a tantrum because she wants a cool toy. She is not crying because she’s devastated that a puppy died. It’s TOILET PAPER!! You really think a child can be scarred or traumatized over toilet paper? If you raise a kid you can’t joke around with and occasionally tease, they will grow up and get into the real world where if they are bullied they won’t know how to react and think it’s the end of the world. You might think I’m mean, but I know I’m raising a kid that has thick enough skin to take a joke. I think you’d do your kid more harm by sheltering them.
